Server Rules¶
Claims¶
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| Max claimed chunks per team | 250 |
| Max force-loaded chunks per team | 4 |
| Idle unforce | 14 days without a team member logging in |
| Idle unclaim | 90 days without a team member logging in |
| Claim protection | Blocks, interactions, and entities are allies-only by default |
How claims work¶
- FTB Chunks handles land protection. Claim chunks by opening the map (default: M) and right-clicking.
- Force-loading keeps chunks simulating when no player is nearby. You have 4 force-loaded chunks maximum — use them for factories, quarries, or farms that must run continuously.
- Aeronautics contraptions (ships, aircraft) cannot be kept simulating while players are offline. Force-loading does not apply to them.
Claim permissions¶
Default permissions in claimed chunks:
| Permission | Default |
|---|---|
| Block breaking/placing | Allies |
| Block interaction | Allies |
| Entity interaction | Allies |
| Entity attack | Allies |
| Claim visibility | Public |
| Explosions | Disabled |
| PvP | Always (configurable per-team) |
PvP and Battles¶
CIW uses a pre-declared battle system:
- Global PvP is on, but terrain destruction is disabled everywhere by default.
- Arena battles happen in designated areas. Teams agree on a location and time.
- War-claims allow temporary terrain destruction in specific claimed chunks.
- CBC, TACZ, and NTGL are currently non-destructive everywhere. This protects factories and settlements while the battle system is refined.
What this means¶
- You can shoot at players anywhere, but blocks are not destroyed outside declared battle zones.
- Your factory, farms, and base are safe from weapon damage at all times.
- To run a proper battle, coordinate with other teams and designate a war zone.
Griefing¶
- CoreProtect tracks all block changes for 90 days.
- Griefing results in an immediate ban. No warnings.
- Block history can be rolled back by an admin.
Difficulty¶
Normal. Mobs deal standard damage, hunger drains at normal rates, and loot tables are unmodified.
Bans¶
| Offense | Consequence |
|---|---|
| Griefing | Permanent ban, block rollback |
| Exploiting | Warning, then ban |
| Harassment | Warning, then ban |
| Duping items | Item removal, ban |
Technical rules¶
- No chunk loaders other than FTB Chunks force-loading.
- No autoclickers or fake players in claimed chunks unless the team allows it.
- No proximity exploits for voice chat.
- Max chained neighbor updates: 100,000 (prevents lag machines).
