Radar & Detection¶
Radar provides long-range player and aircraft tracking. It is required for coordinated warfare.
Key mods¶
- Create Radar — radar blocks, monitors, fire controllers, plane radar
- Power Grid — integrated circuits (required for all radar components)
Radar components¶
All radar components require Power Grid integrated circuits. These are a separate resource from CC:BR circuits — they cannot be converted for free.

Fire Controller (target designation)
Power Grid integration¶
Power Grid provides the electrical economy that radar depends on. Integrated circuits are crafted from Power Grid components and cannot be replaced with CC:BR circuits.
| Component | Source |
|---|---|
| Integrated circuit | Power Grid crafting |
| CC:BR circuit | ComputerCraft (separate, lower tier) |
No free conversion
The KubeJS script 60_circuit_unification.js explicitly states: "Power Grid integrated circuits retain their native industrial cost. CC:BR circuits remain a separate lower-tier component rather than a free bypass."
Tips¶
- Build radar on high ground. Line of sight matters for radar range.
- Force-load your radar station. Radar needs continuous power to track targets.
- Stockpile integrated circuits. They are the bottleneck for all radar components.
- Use radar to coordinate battles. Track enemy aircraft and plan ambushes.
