Warfare & Guns

Stage 5 covers TACZ firearms, Create Big Cannons artillery, and the industrial ammunition system.

Key mods

  • TACZ (Timeless and Classics Zero) — firearms, ammunition, gunsmith table
  • Create Big Cannons — artillery cannons, packed gunpowder, steel cannon barrels
  • NTGL — projectile physics (non-destructive by default)
  • Ritchie's Projectile Lib — shared projectile framework

Ammunition system

CIW overrides TACZ default ammunition with industrial batch crafting. All ammo is crafted at the Gunsmith Table.

Ammo categories

Explosive 40mm, RPG rocket 1 round 2 steel plates + 2 brass + TNT + precision mechanism

Materials

Material Source
Brass ingots Copper + zinc (Create mixer)
Lead ingots Ore excavation (basic drill)
Gunpowder Creeper drops, dungeon chests, Create crushing
Steel plates Steel ingot + mechanical press
TNT Crafting (gunpowder + sand)
Precision mechanisms Sequenced assembly (see Create & Automation)

Industrial firearms

These guns require steel plates and are crafted at the Gunsmith Table. They arrive after steel production.

Automatic shotguns

Gun Materials
AA-12 4 steel + 8 brass + 110 iron + 20 gold + 2 diamond + 4 blaze rods + 4 precision mechanisms
M1014 Same as AA-12
SPAS-12 Same as AA-12

Machine guns

Gun Materials
FN Evolys 8 steel + 12 brass + 128 iron + 16 gold + 4 diamond + 2 blaze rods + 5 precision mechanisms
M249 Same as FN Evolys
RPK Same as FN Evolys

Sniper rifles

Gun Materials Notes
M107 12 steel + 16 brass + 320 iron + 64 gold + 18 diamond + 3 netherite + 5 blaze rods + 6 precision mechanisms Includes Contender scope
M95 Same as M107 Includes Contender scope

Special weapons

Gun Materials
Minigun 16 steel + 16 brass + 320 iron + 80 gold + 40 diamond + 10 netherite + 10 blaze rods + 8 precision mechanisms
M320 (grenade launcher) 6 steel + 8 brass + 50 iron + 15 gold + 6 lapis + 6 precision mechanisms
RPG-7 6 steel + 8 brass + 70 iron + 8 gold + 4 lapis + 10 logs + 6 precision mechanisms

Small rockets

Crafted via sequenced assembly:

Steel plate (base) → Deploy brass sheet + TNT → Deploy brass sheet + precision mechanism
(loops 8 times)
→ Small rocket

Packed gunpowder

9 gunpowder → 1 packed gunpowder (Create compacting)

Used in artillery and some industrial recipes.

Combat behavior

Non-destructive default

CBC, TACZ, and NTGL are non-destructive everywhere by default. Bullets do not break blocks, explosions do not destroy terrain, and fire does not spread. This protects your builds.

What weapons do

  • Damage entities — bullets and explosions hurt players and mobs
  • Headshots — 1.25x damage multiplier for head hits
  • Critical hits — 1.5x damage for critical shots
  • Mob aggression — firing unsilenced weapons within 20 blocks angers nearby mobs
  • Stun grenades — blind and deafen players/mobs in a 15m radius

What weapons do NOT do

  • Break blocks
  • Destroy terrain
  • Spread fire
  • Cause explosions to damage blocks

Tips

  1. Handguns are cheap. They are your first firearms and use common materials.
  2. Stockpile brass. Every ammo type requires brass ingots.
  3. Rifles are the workhorse. 5.56 and 7.62 are the most versatile calibers.
  4. .50 BMG is expensive. Use it for long-range engagements, not daily carry.
  5. Explosive ammo requires precision mechanisms. Budget accordingly.
