Progression Guide¶
CIW follows a five-stage industrial progression. Each stage unlocks new capabilities and gates the next.
Stages¶
| Stage | Name | Core Mods | Gate Material |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Resource Extraction | Create Ore Excavation, KubeJS | Iron |
| 2 | Create & Automation | Create, Create Central Kitchen | Brass |
| 3 | Steel Industry | Create Big Cannons, CGS | Steel (iron + charcoal dust) |
| 4 | Oil & Diesel | Create Diesel Generators | Precision mechanisms |
| 5 | Warfare & Radar | TACZ, Create Radar, Power Grid | Steel plates + integrated circuits |
Optional branches: - Aircraft — unlocked after diesel engines - Radar & Detection — requires Power Grid integrated circuits - Electrical Systems — Power Grid for late-game automation
Design philosophy¶
- Renewable resources. Ore excavation uses Create mechanical power, not finite world deposits.
- Tiered extraction. Basic drills handle common ores; diamond and netherite drills are required for rare veins.
- Industrial costs. Late-game items require precision mechanisms, brass casings, and steel plates — no free shortcuts.
- Non-destructive default. Weapons do not destroy blocks outside declared battle zones.
General tips¶
- Start near iron. You need iron for everything in Stage 1.
- Automate iron early. A mechanical drill on an iron vein produces raw iron continuously.
- Brass is the bottleneck for Stage 2.锌 (zinc) + copper in a Create mixer produces brass.
- Steel unlocks everything. Build a heated mixer and charcoal dust production as soon as you have brass.
- Precision mechanisms are expensive. Stockpile them — they gate oil scanners, radar, and aircraft.
- Force-load your factories. You have 4 chunks. Use them for quarries, steel mills, and oil rigs.
